Yirgacheffe Coffee

Yirgacheffe is a small town of some 20,000 inhabitants which lies within the larger Sidamo coffee producing region of southern Ethiopia. It is famous for its excellent coffees, and the region is considered to be the birthplace of Ethiopian coffee.

CUPPING NOTES: Fruit forward (wild berry, melon, and peach), Floral (lavender and lemongrass), A tea-like aroma that is citrus forward, Light, soft chocolatey notes. A hint of wine, delicate light medium body and nutty.

Known for its sweet flavor and aroma with a light to medium body. Ethiopian Yirgacheffes are spicy and fragrant, and are frequently reviewed and rated as some of the highest quality Arabica coffees in the world.
